Amsterdam, May 25, 2020 – Committed Capital has taken a majority stake in ID-ware. ID-ware develops and implements management software to manage the life cycle of smartcards. The (Software-as-a-Service) Enterprise platform of ID-ware also manages the authorizations, so that each smartcard user is automatically granted relevant access rights based on their personal profile.
The software of ID-ware is linked to the existing HR and Enterprise Resource Planning systems, allowing all rights granted in these systems to be directly linked to the smartcards. By linking to existing management systems, the granting of access rights to smartcards is simplified, reduces the risk of errors (one-time entries) and ensures compliance with (access) protocols. Customers include governments, financial institutions, healthcare institutions, universities and industrial companies. The software company was founded in 2005 and has shown double-digit revenue growth in recent years. The investment will be the first participation from the third investment fund of Committed Capital. The third fund was recently established and has a size of €55 million.
The Netherlands-based ID-ware has ambitious plans for international growth in Germany, France and the United Kingdom. An active buy & build strategy to accelerate international growth in the targeted countries in the coming years is also part of the strategy.
