On 20 December 2022, Secu, was acquired by Intersteel Group B.V.. Secu became widely known in the world of burglary protection through the revolutionary SecuStrip anti-burglary strip launched in 1987. Both companies serve similar customers and will strengthen and complement each other in the professional market. Intersteel’s reputation for design and technology will also influence Secu’s products. Secu also has a sub-brand SecuCare that offers a large collection of aids aimed at helping people live independently, safely and comfortably at home for longer. This acquisition allows for a more complete range of door fittings, security, and safety products, and expands Intersteel’s target group. Both companies will continue to operate separately, but will work together in areas such as product design, production, and marketing.
